Storno invoice (sztornó)
A storno invoice is a document that cancels an invoice issued earlier; an issued invoice cannot be deleted or rewritten, only cancelled or corrected.

What does Storno invoice mean?
A storno is also reported to NAV and reverses the original invoice. If only one line is wrong, a corrective invoice may be the alternative.
The VAT Act has rules for documents that correct or cancel an invoice; which applies to your case is a question for your accountant.
Why does it matter to a small business?
Everyone issues a wrong invoice sometimes: a wrong buyer name, a mistyped amount, a line issued twice. An issued invoice is already with NAV, though, so it is not enough to fix the file: the correction has to be a document too. When the system does not let an issued invoice be rewritten, the books and NAV's records cannot drift apart. Whether a storno or a corrective invoice is needed is a question for your accountant.
What does it look like in practice?
Details
Suppose an IT firm in Győr issues a monthly maintenance invoice to the wrong company name. It neither deletes nor rewrites the invoice: it cancels it with a storno at the invoicing provider, which reverses the original, and then issues a new invoice to the right name. The buyer receives both documents, and the accountant can see what happened and why. Whether that was the right route the firm checks with its accountant.
