How do I connect my CRM to my online shop?

In short

With WooCommerce, Shopify, ShopRenter or UNAS, the shop sends a signed order notification to one HelloCRM endpoint, and every order becomes a contact and a deal. If you have no shop yet, HelloCRM's Website module builds one.

Connecting a shop

  1. Switch on the Webshop module and choose your shop engine.
  2. Copy the endpoint address and the shared secret.
  3. Enter them as an order webhook in the shop's admin.
  4. Place a test order and check it appears as a contact and a deal.

What happens to an order

  • The buyer is matched or created by email: one buyer stays one contact.
  • The same order sent several times is recorded once.
  • An unsigned request is refused.
  • The order lands in the pipeline as a deal, and a lead becomes a customer.

Questions

Does HelloCRM manage the external shop's stock?

No: an external shop keeps its own stock; HelloCRM only moves stock for its own shop and till.
