What does MCP mean?

An MCP server offers tools (find a contact, create a task, for example), and an AI client that supports MCP calls them when the user asks or instructs.

Access depends on the MCP server's authentication: the AI sees and does as much as its key allows.

Why does it matter to a small business?

An AI assistant can only speak in general terms until it sees the company's data. Through MCP it answers from your own CRM: which deal has stalled, who has not paid, what is due tomorrow. Because access is set by a scoped key that can be revoked, you decide whether it only reads or may also write tasks and notes.

What does it look like in practice?

Details

Suppose the head of an IT services firm in Budapest asks her AI assistant on Monday morning: which deals have stalled, and who has an overdue invoice? Through HelloCRM's MCP server the assistant fetches the stalled deals and the unpaid invoices, and then, at her request, creates a task for a colleague to call the two oldest debtors.

How does HelloCRM handle it?

Details

HelloCRM's MCP server is at /api/mcp, with the same API key and rate limit as the REST API; its tools call the same operations as the screens, so a stage move is recorded in the history here too.

A CRM for small businesses in Hungary

HelloCRM is an online CRM made in Hungary for small and mid-sized businesses there, in Hungarian and English: the core CRM is free for good, with no time limit and no card, and it can be tried without signing up in a demo company full of example data.
