Abandoned cart
An abandoned cart is a basket put together in an online shop but never ordered: the buyer added something, then left before or during checkout.

What does Abandoned cart mean?
Carts are abandoned for many reasons: the delivery charge appeared only at the end, the buyer was only browsing, something came up, or they did not trust the payment. Some of these can be brought back with a short reminder that takes the buyer back to their cart.
A reminder mail, though, means handling personal data: the buyer's email address is stored before any order. So it matters whether they asked for it, or at least knew about it, and that the mail goes once, not every day.
Why does it matter to a small business?
For a small online shop every order brought back is revenue with no ad spend, since the buyer already found the shop and chose the product. The reasons carts are abandoned are feedback too: if many people leave at the delivery step, that is where the problem is.
What does it look like in practice?
Details
Suppose a handmade soap shop's checkout lets the buyer tick "remind me if I do not finish". Whoever ticks it and leaves gets one email an hour later, with a link that restores their cart at today's prices.
How does HelloCRM handle it?
Details
HelloCRM's own shop keeps a cart only when the buyer ticks the reminder at checkout; the cart holds products and quantities, never prices. The reminder goes an hour after the last change, once, never for a cart older than a week, and not at all if an order from that address has arrived meanwhile. The link restores the cart at the products' current prices.
